Making Appointments at the Surgery
The Practice operates a full appointment system to see our Doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse or our Health Care Assistants.
Patients requiring an appointment should ring the main surgery number on Tel: 01384 634511 from 8am each weekday. A number of appointments are available on the day for emergencies only. You will asked a brief reason for the emergency, and the Clinician for that day will triage, and call you back. These appointments are NOT for repeat prescriptions or repeat sick notes.
If you have a child under the age of 5 and feel that they need to be seen as an emergency please inform the Reception Team who will be happy to help.
The Black Country Hub Extended Hours Service
Working collaboratively with 5 other practices we can offer appointments for our patients outside our core hours.
Appointments are limited but available with a GP, Nurse or HCA. These appointments are pre-bookable or on the day please ask at Reception for pre-bookable appointments (do not attend without a confirmed appointment as you will not be seen, it is NOT a Walk-in service).

Telephone Triage System
If you contact the surgery requesting an urgent on the day appointment, reception staff will request basic information. This is then logged and passed onto the nominated triage GP for the day. The GP will call you back, assess over the telephone which will result in advice being offered, a prescription being issued or an on the day emergency appointment being allocated for yourself.
Appointments can be booked in advance if required and encourage patients to do this especially if you have an ongoing problems that requires a regular review.

Nurse online appointments are only available via the Reception to ensure that the correct time is allocated and that the appropriate clincian is booked.

Manage your medication online If you find it hard to get to the practice to order your next repeat prescription, SystmOnline could make your life easier. All you have to do then is go and collect your prescription as normal whenever it is ready.

Security The SystmOnline service has been developed and tested using standards set out by a government body called NHS Connecting for Health. All personal information used by SystmOnline is secure and protected. It is only available to staff at your practice who have the appropriate security controls, i.e. those managing appointments, repeat prescribing or patient registration.
Important – to get started Please ask at reception for the appropriate form. Not everyone can access their GP surgery during its normal opening hours. SystmOnline helps by letting you manage your appointments and repeat medication over the internet. All you need to do is to speak to practice staff to get your username and password. Then you can start using the SystmOnline service!
